Not All Dimples are Cute...

We have big news here at FADE - we are now one of the only Clinics in Europe to offer the revolutionary new firming treatment for the body - TempSure Firm!

You work out, you diet, but there are always a few troublesome areas that most of us can never quite change - until now with TempSure Firm.

First off, what is cellulite?

Cellulite is also known as orange-peel skin due to its appearance and affects 80 to 90 percent of women.

Cellulite is also known as orange-peel skin due to its appearance and affects 80 to 90 percent of women.

Cellulite - often called ‘orange peel’ skin - is a term for the formation of lumps and dimples in the skin. Cellulite can affect both men and women, but it is more common in women, due to the different distributions of fat, muscle, and connective tissue. Between 80 and 90 percent of women may experience cellulite at some point in their lives. It commonly affects the thigh, hip, abdominal and buttock areas.

While the exact causes of cellulite are unknown, it appears to result from an interaction between the connective tissue in the dermatological layer that lies below the surface of the skin, and the layer of fat just below it.

In women, the fat cells and connective tissue in this layer are arranged vertically. If the fat cells protrude into the layer of skin, this gives the appearance of cellulite. In men, the tissue has a criss-cross structure, which may explain why men are less likely to have cellulite.

Some other factors appear to be linked to the chance of having cellulite, such as hormonal changes, pregnancy, ageing, and circulation issues. Other risk factors include diet, and it may also be more prevalent in smokers, those who do not get adequate exercise, and those who sit or stand in one position for long periods of time.

Cellulite is more prevalent in people who have excess fat, but slim and fit people can have it too. It is more likely to happen after the age of 25 years, but it can affect younger people as well, including teenagers. There is a hereditary factor too. (Source: Medical News Today)

So unfortunately, even with your best efforts, cellulite is something that can affect anyone. Some things that can help include dry body brushing of affected areas, massage, exercises such as squats, and a healthy, varied diet.

OK - what can we do about it?

No. The TempSure Firm handpiece delivers heat in a consistent and gradual manner. Clients report a spa-like, deep warming sensation during their treatments. Most clients say they could fall asleep during the treatments.

Am I a candidate for TempSure Firm?

There are several factors that go into determining if you are a good candidate for treatment. Your clinician will discuss all inclusion and exclusion criteria at your consultation to make 100% sure you are a candidate for treatment. The good news is that this treatment is generally suitable for all skin types, so there is a very high chance you will be suitable.

How many treatments will I need?

Everyone is different. Most clients require anywhere from 5-8 treatments depending on your skin condition and what area is being treated, and your desired outcomes.

How long does a treatment take?

Treatments take five minutes for a full abdomen and ten minutes for both thighs. Typically, five minutes per selected area.

When can I return to normal activities after treatment?

You may return to normal daily activities immediately after treatment. A sunscreen of SPF 30 should always be applied to the treated areas that may be exposed to the sun.

How long until I see results?

You should see some immediate firming, with continuing results for a few weeks to a month after your last treatment as new collagen develops.
