About PicoSure® Pro Laser Tattoo Removal
The PicoSure® Pro Laser is developed by Cynosure, a world leader in laser and light-based treatments for aesthetic applications.
It is the world’s first picosecond laser for the removal of tattoos and areas of pigment such as age spots.

Traditional Q-Switched laser treatments use intensive laser energy to heat up and break the tattoo ink particles into smaller pieces.
However PicoSure® Pro is different.
With PicoSure® Pro, you get a much gentler and more effective treatment. PicoSure® Pro Laser Tattoo Removal doesn’t use any heat; it uses ultra-short laser pulses which target the ink particles at very high pressure, breaking them down. The particles are then absorbed much more quickly and easily, and are eliminated naturally by the body. This makes PicoSure® a faster and more comfortable procedure.

What can I expect from my treatment?
Laser tattoo removal has been described as feeling similar to the actual tattooing process. PicoSure relies on pressure changes instead of just heat to break apart ink particles but some patients may feel some discomfort. At FADE, your clinician will discuss options such as cooling treatments to make your experience more comfortable.

size of tattoo
location on body
lifestyle habits
Treatments typically occur every 6-8 weeks and your FADE clinician will develop a treatment plan to meet your individual needs.
Patients and treatment providers have reported better clearance (disappearance) of tattoos with improved recovery time. You can expect excellent results with FADE.
Dark, stubborn or pre-treated tattoos
PicoSure® Pro is able to achieve significant clearance of darker ink tattoos after one session, with 75%+ removal possible with such tattoos following initial treatment. A tattoo made up of entirely black ink can be removed with just 4-8 treatments.
Most tattoos can therefore be removed within 6 to 10 months, which is considerably quicker than seen with older Q-switched technologies.
Your clinician at FADE can adjust the settings on the device to use the PicoSure Boost™ to change the pressure and output energy to increase the effect of the delivery for particularly stubborn tattoo types.
If you have had past tattoo removal treatment with a Q-Switched laser and some stubborn pigment still remains, then FADE's PicoSure® technology is ideal to complete the job.
